Berlin Study

"Continuing this selection of preparatory studies, here we have an image of a backstreet gallery in Berlin. I photoshopped the reference photograph to repeat itself into the outside wall of the gallery, thus creating a sense of depth in the composition. Additionally, each repetition presents a slightly more warped interpretation of the original and so gives the image a sense of peculiarity and perhaps disquiet; these psychological elements are something I hope to develop further when I eventually start the painted version of this piece."
